THE POLKA DOT LADY – Vernissage am FR. 16.6.17 um 19:00 Uhr
KM13 - Kurmärkische Str.13, 10783 Berlin

"In her latest works, Marty Sander explores the process of remembering as the central aspect of a persons character.By combining drawing, painting and cutouts, she develops her concept of fragmentation as the answer to the 3-dimensionality of memory. Using impressionistic as well as figurative techniques, the artist goes beyond conventional realism to keep her motifs in abeyance. Her artistic methods of illustrating, erasing, painting over, cutting out and reassembling in the series “THE POLKA DOT LADY allow not only a pictorial examination of memory, but also become a symbolic image for the enigmatic, mysterious process of remembering in which all people are the same and yet each and every person unique in his/her memories."
Exhibition “THE POLKA DOT LADY” by MARTY SANDER from 17.06.-15.07.2017
